Fuck Open Threads

February 23rd, 2011

So, this site generates some dialogue, but I think a lot of people think that I’m supposed to be filling in some content. Well, I’m going to say right now, that’s not the case. From now, until forever (or when I feel like changing my mind) this blog is simply going to be the location of an open thread.

I will not censor anyone’s opinion, belief, or declaration, short of what might be required by law.

I will, however, ridicule your opinion, belief, or declaration if it’s silly, ignorant or just plain wrong.

Scream, curse, bitch and moan. Troll and flame. If you are on the side of the Tea Party, fuck you. But, you know, go right ahead and say what you’ve got to say. If you’re against the Tea Party, fuck you too. You’re not doing a good enough job at convincing those philistines how completely wrong they are.

Get to work.

Fuck updates.

October 8th, 2010

Well, after a bit of a hiatus, I’m back. The comment system on WordPress sucks, so sorry to anyone who posted comments and didn’t have them displayed. Some of them show the writers to have slightly… less creative powers of thought. But that’s ok, I’ll post them up here anyway.

The Tea Party is all about allowing people who have fear and anger express it. This isn’t about shutting them up. It’s about pointing how out of touch with reality they are. And the Tea Party is very, very out of reality.

I know, I’m late to the party and most of the world has done a good job already of pointing it out, but Christine O’Donnell just shows how batshit insane the Tea Party is. While I’ll point out that her witchcraft dabbling and anti-masturbation opinions make her silly, those aren’t the worst of what she’s said. She claimed that evolution is false, because monkeys aren’t still evolving into humans. Seriously?

Of course, it just shows how the Tea Party is going to come back and bite itself on the ass. Because a race the Republicans were going to win hands-down has now turned into a big checkmark in the Democratic column. Obvious takeaway from that? Democrats and moderates are rational people. Republicans and the Tea Party are, well, something else.

Update: I put in a CAPTCHA and an anti-spam plugin, so I’m trying this now with all comments allowed. As always, “I disagree with what you say, but I’ll defend to the death your right to go fuck yourself.”

Speaking of Going and Fucking Yourself…

Jon Stewart has something to say to Fox News. And Fox News is also completely, inappropriately, racist.

Jon, I couldn’t agree with you more. Fox News, Go Fuck Yourself.

Fuck the State of Arizona

April 24th, 2010

Fuck Jan Brewer. Fuck Arizona. How can they possibly pass a law, in this day and age, that’s only purpose is to discriminate against an entire race of people? And how can they possibly think that this law is going to make it passed the Supreme Court?

Basically, this law says that if a police officer believes you might be an illegal immigrant they have to stop you and confirm that you are legal.

Let’s start with the obvious. If you are Latino and speak with an accent, you are going to get stopped. If you are Latino, have an accent, are a citizen of the US and don’t have an ID on you, you can still get arrested. Even though it’s legal to not have an ID on you… because you can’t prove you’re a citizen, you can be arrested.

So first, you have the basic 14th amendment violation on racial discrimination. They are going to be stopping Latinos primarily. Any of them, legal or not. Probably not whites or many blacks. They’ll probably stop a lot of Asians as well. Any law that targets specific protected classes, whether de facto or de jure, is unconstitutional.

You also have the violations of another 14th amendment violation of due process, and 4th amendment seizure violation. A citizen of the United States has the right to move unimpeded in this country, without fear of the police stopping him. He has the right to not be required to prove his citizenship. It is the burden of the police to prove that he isn’t a citizen. If you are stopped by the police and they say “are you a citizen” and you refuse to answer, you cannot and should not be charged with a crime.

And what just pisses me off even more is the fucking tea party is going to protest against the President denouncing this law. They’ll claim that he is a “foreigner” trying to give this country to other “foreigners.” They’ll claim that the Supreme Court shouldn’t interfere in state’s rights. They can all go fuck themselves.

Fuck the Tea Party

April 3rd, 2010

The much more intelligent, rational left has far too long been silent while the hateful, ignorant right has been loud. Posing as a populist movement of “ordinary” Americans, the Tea Party has turned the future of our great republic into a battlefield. On one side you have those who believe that cooperation, love and learning can improve the world. On the other, you have the Tea Party, jumping at shadows in the dark. They tell lies as truth. They attack those who are thoughtful and informed. The Tea Party is not patriotic. The Tea Party is not in the best interest of this nation. The Tea Party is not worth your respect.

Fuck the Tea Party.
